The Residences are a 120 unit supportive housing facility, divided into two wings, serving two different populations. The project was developed by the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul and is leased and operated by Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.
The St. Anthony Residence provides 60 units of permanent supportive housing for men who have experienced homelessness for a year or more and have barriers that may include mental health issues, chemical dependency, criminal history, and low income.
The St. Paul Residence provides 60 units of permanent housing for late-stage chronic alcoholic men. The facility provides support services for the residents including independent living skills training, assistance with medication monitoring, on-site psychologist, employment services, and community integration.
In addition to the practical needs, the design focused on providing a feeling of dignity and fostering a sense of community for the residents.
