Rossmor Building

Located at the northern edge of downtown St. Paul, the Rossmor Building is a well-known landmark on the city skyline. The structure was originally designed as a boot factory for the troops of World War I. Finished just at the end of 1918, it has served as manufacturing warehouse, office, and studio space since completion.

One of the most significant adaptive reuse housing projects in St. Paul, the revitalized Rossmor building maintains its signature robust commercial architecture on the three street frontages and in its mid-block courtyard. The renewed structure retains its vibrant mix of commercial tenants and users on the street level, while the upper stories have been converted to “True Loft” units, unique to the Twin Cities.

Other improvements include revamping mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life-safety systems, and new window and elevator upgrades.
